Andhra Pradesh puts up trade barriers Our Hyderabad Bureau 31 DEC The Government of AP today announced it for setting up trade restrictions on various states. This was in direct conflict to the Central Government directives but the AP trade minister says he had to undergo these measures to stop anti-dumping by some states. AP has been increasing it's share of the Indian economy & is now the largest contributors to the exchequer. However as more & more power is transferred to the states, the centre has lost it's hold on internal state politics. The Bihar Government which would be most affected by these restrictions complained in the parliament saying that the measures were "anti-national" & that these measures would hurt the rest of the nation. |
