50 more killed in Munger, Bihar Our Patna Bureau 31 DEC Communal riots have come to stay in Bihar & those days when the slogans of "Unity in Diversity" were proudly chanted have faded away. One increasingly hears of incidents of dicrimination meted out to One can still not forget those moments of dread & fear when the communal riots of 1992-93 had plagued the hearts of people in Mumbai. The latest massacre was triggered off due to a rumours that missionaries were involved in converting Hindus to Christains. The Akhil Bhartiya Sena angered by this act destroyed a section of a church ruthlessly killing 25 women, 15 children & 10 men praying in the church at that time. 12 more people are suspected to be lying under the debris. No action has been taken against the suspects .The Deputy commissioner has demanded further investigations on this front. The Left front cheif minister said that no eforts would be spared in catching those responsible. |
