Re-forestation ??
Our Washington Bureau
31 DEC

News of Rare species like themselves is becoming rare. However , thanks to America they are back inthe news.

American Government has just sanctioned 2000 acres of land to be converted into a wildlife sanctuary for endangered species near Lubbock, Texas. This plot of land will be maintained and looked after by the American Wildlife Federation. The process of re-forestation will begin shortly under the aegis of the WWF.

Scientists claim that this is possible because of the fact that developed countries like the US are no longer agrarian economies and hence they are not that dependant on land. Also people's opinions in such countries are very eco-friendly and hence this could be a trend in the near future. Whatever it may be, it is definitely the right step towards saving the diversity of life on our planet.
