Water dispute finally comes to an end
Our Hyderabad Bureau
31 DEC
The ongoing tussle between Tamil Nadu & Karnataka for distribution of water has come to an end. The Central government is going to solve the water dilemma by purchasing water from the various states & would resell it to the needy states either affected by the drought or those that do not have a natural supply of water. This would have a two fold effect of satisfying the scarcity problem & providing the government with the much needed revenue to decrease the widening fiscal deficit. The government is expecting to implement this proposal by the end March 2011.
