Yahoo and Warner Bros. in talks for merger

The inevitable consolidation and amalgamation of the Internet & the Entertainment industry has commenced with Yahoo, the first web directory and Warner Bros. Entertainment in talks for a merger. Mr. Solomon West, president of Warner Bros, confirmed that talks were on between the two companies for the creation of "A Complete Entertainment Company". The inevitable amalgamation of these industries have been forecasted by various experts in the two fields.
After the advent of Internet TVs and the rise of cable to connect to the Internet, there has been a spurt in converting most Movies & Entertainment shows into internet ready reels. There is speculation that in the next few years, the market for customised programs and movies via the net would increase tenfold with regulations and laws for their approval and regulation are on the anvil in most western countries. Yahoo a pioneer in the Internet field, started of as a directory service but since then has resulted in pioneering the advent of e-commerce on the web and is now leding in the advent of broadband multimedia applications with it's leading software " Web Motion" being the most widely used software amongst internet users. Warner Bros. has been a entertainment company leading in most multimedia and movie facets.
This merger could result in the amalgamation of a few more industries as the advent of Web TV has created a need for consolidation in order to get profitable margins from the entertainment market.
